Hurricaine Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in August, 2005. One year later there is an enormous need for help. This banner was presented to attract site surfers to the efforts of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN)program to have their members Volunteer in New Orleans.

US based capitalists keep US lumber prices artifically high in order to gouge the home buyers during their current real estate bubble frenzy. In order to perpetrate this consumer exploitation and fraud, the Bush administration continued to violate their NAFTA agreement with Canada. Now they use their dainty, the Canadian Prime Minister Stéphane Harper to offer the forestry industry a silly 'new' agreement that violates common sense. In Ontario Canada, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union, CEP represented forestry worker jobs are under attack. Before the nationwide worker retaliation gets underway, the CEP union started the Labour Adjustment Committee. The LAC provides assistance to ALL displaced forest-sector workers, hourly and salaried, laid off from saw mills and pulp & paper mills.

The UAW leadership in Detroit made it clear that all they had to offer their membership was a way to become unemployed. They had no plan for local strikes, no plan to occupy the production plants, no plan to engage other unions in a large scale withdrawl of labour. This was clear to each and every member. The Soldiers Of Solidarity became more popular as their call for the workers to stand together against the auto makers attacks was taken up.

Global Unions has developed a campaign to help encourage national unions to participate in the fight against HIV / AIDS. Now that the International Organisation of Employers (IOC) has joined the effort, a united mobilization against this worldwide pandemic has begun. Agitators and provocateurs propagandized that rejection of directive can only mean the
defeat the treaty. The saner mainstream immediately responded with a campaign to clearly
uncouple these two. A widespread blitz ensued clarifying that elimination of the Bolkestein
Directive was completely compatible with the acceptance of the EU constitution. Our
banner was quickly modified and re-posted to reflect this viewpoint. Then that banner was
modified further and re-posted together with the Vote YES banners.

Thousands of wild mustangs that freely roamed the American plains were imperilled in early 2005. Due to U.S. Federal spending cuts, many of these majestic creatures were slated for death. Many animals over the age of 10 years were placed on the auction block. Several horses were sold for as little as $50.00. Some of these auctioned horses were moved to slaughter houses and processed for meat.
Thankfully, a small group of animals were bought at auction and moved out of the United States to a horse training farm in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Randy Bird, Canada's own horse whisperer has taken on some of these horses and has demonstrated their trainability and usefulness, contrary to the U.S. governments' opinions used to justify their now commuted death sentences.
Concern and outrage at this husbandry failure brought Bill Ford of Ford Motor Company to join the rescue effort. By immediately laying claim to hundreds of horses, the automobile manufacturer has definitely saved those animals from the butchers' block. In May, 2005 an outreach campaign was launched online with Take Pride In America to engage the general public to donate to this worthy cause.
