Even though the French government of Jacques Chirac owed much to the left wing, they were unable to resist attacking them. After ramming through legislation to remove employment rights from young workers newly employed by large employers, the students retaliated. Soon, nearly one hundred universities were under occupation. The nationwide protests grew in duration and size.
A banner was presented in support of the anti-CPE mobilization who opposed the 'Contrat premiŠre embauche' - the `first employment contract'
As the capitalists continued their 'Escape From America' race some affected autoworkers at Delphi / GM Corporation began to organize a grass-roots resistance effort. They and other rank-and-file workers held meetings across the midwest United States. The meetings gathered together like-minded people who were under attack by the bankruptcy of Delphi.
Several banners were presented to support the SOS awareness raising online campaign. Other banners were presented to urge the public to learn about the impending auto-industry collapse.
Since the massive U.S. currency devaluation (estimated at 40%) was anticipated months in advance, the job of governing a resource based country was secondary to finding safe havens for any exposed revenue streams. The millionaires wanted in on the black gold under the arctic and couldn't very well profit from the untold wealth while defending it from their backers. The profit-focussed Liberal government handed the brokering job off to the Conservative Party. An added bonus was that the Liberals could play the blame game and make the Conservatives look really bad down the road when they 'resume power' again. Meanwhile the socialist party NDP took in a good measure of seats in the Parliament during this winter election of 2005 - 06.
Several banners were presented to support the New Democratic Party election campaign online donation campaign. Other banners were presented to urge the public to vote.
Since China has now expropriated most of the capitalist's wealth, these impoverished plunderers take a final stab at recouping their losses. By leveraging the fossil fuel economy, these robber barons attempt to enrich themselves at the public's expense. With the rise of the Hydrogen Economy growing ever stronger, the hydrocarbon shakedown has a limited lifespan, and will be remembered as a short-lived, novel, energy source . During this period of worldwide petrochemical exploitation, many sectors of the economy are held for ransom. The inordinately high prices cause products of the plastics industry and the fuel industry to rise so much that the auto sector begins to collapse. The capitalists are planning to keep the oil prices as high as possible for as long as possible because there is nothing left for them to control. Global stability will ensue once they have been relieved of that largesse.
A banner was presented to support the US congressional e-hearing that was conducted to hear from the bankrupt autoworkers.
Since the rise of organized labour, capitalists have periodically asserted that 'organized capital' exists. Indeed any capitalist worth their salt would sell their own mother down the river for a pound of rice. Of course, any capitalists would pay with their money to destroy any competitor. So now that the rank-and-file auto workers are massing to bring about the collapse of the auto industry, the capitalists will do their utmost to jettison 'valuable cargo' drawing their fellow money-makers overboard. In turn the workers will confiscate the victims' purse and distribute the proceeds amongst themselves, continuing the process of wealth redistribution. Unorganized workers will again fall prey to those panicking capitalists who try to recover the remnants of what they had risked betting against the House of Labour.
Numerous banners were posted in support of this worker unification.

The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) is leading a third effort to raise public awareness in support of poverty eradication. 10 December 2005 marks the day to raise our voices so that our politicians understand exactly what we are demanding.
The World Trade Organization 6th Ministerial Conference will be held from 13-18 December in Hong Kong, only days after the celebration of the Human Rights Day on 10 December. Developing countries made a stand for fairness in the international trade system at the last WTO conference in 2003. This time, you can help convince developed countries to support the call for trade justice.
'By wearing a white band on this day you will be able to deliver a clear message to world leaders, and your country's head of state, that this time they need to put the world's poorest people first.'
In the United States, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Democratic National Committee began their election campaigns. Many new candidates have come forward at local, county, and state level to participate in reclaiming the Senate, the Congress and the Presidency.
Many banners in rotation were reposted to support the election of Democratic Party candidates nationwide.
The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) is leading another effort to raise public awareness in support of poverty eradication. 10 September 2005 marks the day to raise our voices so that our politicians understand exactly what we are demanding. The UN General Assembly Special Summit will meet to discuss how they are addressing poverty as part of their establishment of the Millennium Development Goals, begun in the year 2005.

The U.S. Federal Government decided that wild mustang horses were too costly to care for so they sold them at auction for butchering. Several horses escaped through to Canada. The balance were to be carved up for meat. The U.S. cavalry was nowhere to be found and did not come to the rescue.
Bill Ford stepped in and claimed over 1000 mustang horses. The balance of the U.S. government discard are to be cared for through a fund called the Save The Mustangs Fund. Ford Motor Company partnered with Take Pride In America to make this global online outreach. Undoubtedly, many more programs will be abandoned by the U.S. Federal government as they re-direct taxpayer dollars to their war machine.
The Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) ally in the United States is The One Campaign. In early April, the public relations campaign got underway to re-introduce Americans to the concept of this international movement. Using press releases, radio and television spots, and two websites, the American style White Band campaign was well on its way to grow and spread across the nation.
'Child Labour in Mines & Quarries' is the focus of this years' campaign against child labour.
May 29, 2005 was the scheduled date for the French vote concerning the EU constitution. Some had tried to link together the EU Constitution vote with the Bolkestein Directive acceptance. The overall theme says yea for the Constitution, nay for the Bolkestein Directive.
Millions of Europeans needed vital information about the EU Constitution and how it directly affects their interests. Many partisan groups presented their own spin on the positive and negative aspects of the Constitutions' passing or failing. The YES-Campaign acted as a depository for a variety of views as well as providing a links directory to other websites concerned with the constitution.
Even though the Bolkestein Directive was sidelined, there was still enough interest for it to re-emerge in the future. Efforts continued to reduce the strength of this EU directive to zero potential.
